Calgary Persian Library is a community-based Persian-language library at the University of Calgary, founded in 2012 by Iranian students. Created in response to the lack of public access to Persian/Farsi books in Calgary, the library has grown from its first 400-volume collection into an active cultural and literary space with a catalogue of more than 2,200 books and hundreds of members. It provides access to Persian literature, poetry, history, children’s books, translations, and other works, while creating a welcoming space for Iranian, Afghan, Tajik, and wider Persian-speaking communities to explore
literature, share ideas, and stay connected to language, memory, and culture.
